Just a random question, but did any new mummas not have a car and carseat to get home?
And if not how did you get home

Get car seat and get a taxi home. I believe you either have to have a car seat or pushchair to leave with baby so you can either get a taxi, car or bus home xxx

I had LO 3 weeks ago and I just walked out with baby in my arms - We have a car seat that doesn’t come out of the car, when we mentioned this to the midwife doing our discharge she said she wasn’t sure if we were allowed to leave without a carry car seat, she went to check and came back saying it was completely fine.

They cannot refuse to discharge you from hospital. They do like to check your car seat if you have one to make sure baby is safe but they can’t use not having one as a reason not to discharge you.
We took baby home in the car with a car seat but you can use a pushchair instead or a carrier if you have one that’s suitable for their newborn weight.

You only have to have a car seat / capsule if your leaving in a car.
