C-section mamas

Is it normal to still have pain while coughing 8 weeks postpartum? I don't know if I'm healing or not because on the outside, my incision has healed so well. But excessive exercises and coughing still cause a lot of tenderness and pain. I would ask my doctors, but they have always been so dismissive and don't really listen.

I’m exactly 8 weeks postpartum after c-section and have no tenderness. I’m not sure if I’m an exception or if it’s normal. After giving birth, I did minimal exercises and built my way up until I was pain free. If I was having excessive pain with exertion I would try to find a doctor that would listen to me if my regular doctor was dismissive. As a nurse, I’ve seen doctors miss things that others found with their observations. Please don’t overlook your pain just because one or a few doctors don’t know or can’t find the problem.

I’m 7 weeks postpartum from a C section and still have some residual pain at and around my scar. After exercising or hiking 3+ miles I get pain in my hip and pelvic floor area.. after doing research on my own I think I have pelvic floor dysfunction, especially tightness. Stretching my hips and legs has helped a bit. Go easy on yourself, it will probably take some time

8 weeks PP from c section #2 and I don’t have any pain or tenderness. Just some numbness

I definitely have numbness around my scar, but my pain is internally like the muscles or something hurts. It's tight and can be sharp. Bellow the belly button above the incision. Now I'm worried because everyone is talking about their incision and for me, that isn't the issue. It's the whole belly area that's tender. 😭

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
