Just tried putting my 1 year old daughter to sleep in her own room last night for the first time and she just kept waking up crying (which is normal even when she slept in her crib in our room) she pretty much only sleeps semi comfortably with minimal to no wakes when she sleeps with us in our bed. Any advice for these next nights when she wakes up crying? How do I get her to not wake up in the middle of the night? Or what could be possible reasons as to why she does? Is she just not ready? Or will it take time? Also, I usually just breastfeed her back to sleep each time she wakes up/cries. Is that a bad habit if sooner or later, I’m going to wean her off?

I was told by a sleep consultant that breastfeeding to slept is indeed a bad habit. Not nessasarly cause you're be weaning her off boob eventually it's more that she will use you as a human dummy and she won't learn to self soothe as that's what she gets from you feeding her.
My little man was waking during the night maybe 3 times to feed. And now he may wake once of at all. Hope this helps. 🙏 good luck.

Disagree. My daughter was EBF and we still fed to sleep at bedtime until she was 21 months and she started sleeping through around 11 months and then pretty consistently slept through from 14 months. If feeding back to sleep is no longer working for you then that’s a different thing, but you aren’t making it worse by doing that and actually I always found it the easiest way to get her back to sleep. Your baby still needs comfort in the night and that’s normal, I think it’s helpful to start introducing other things that give comfort so that over time they rely on you less, like stuffed toys or night lights, or playing with them in their room in the day so they start to feel really happy there. But just be warned that you could wean off feeding and still be in the same situation. Can also try layering associations like singing or rocking etc. It will also be easier when you can communicate more with her and that will begin to happen soon.

I’d recommend giving her a little extra food (breastmilk, formula, whatever) before she goes down for bed. That might help satiate her through the night. Also adding any comforts you can like a sound machine, a fan, whatever.

No such thing has a bad habit in my opinion, however, you’re expecting her to adapt in just 1 night.
It takes a lot of patience… my situation is that she bedshared with us from about 6 months to 13 months. She started to fall asleep in her toddler bed for bedtime around 13 months ish with either of us being next to her and she would sleep there (in our bedroom - our spare bedroom is an office) for the beginning of the night. It’s not perfect but this allows me to get some time alone after a long day of work, help clean, or just unwind.
My expectation is that babies and toddlers will wake or need a bit of help falling asleep and that works for us, no training involved.
