Can diarrhoea be a sign that labour is close?

So I’m 36 weeks tomorrow and have been fine bowel movement wise. Sorry TMI but all of a sudden I was hit with super loose bowels just now (like literally had to RUN to the bathroom.) It’s also worth mentioning that I haven’t changed anything I’ve been eating so doubt it’s that. I’ve also had a lot of pelvic pressure today. Could this be a sign my body is preparing for labour?

Yes I’ve been told that it’s a sign of Labour, make sure to stay hydrated 🥰 would love to hear if it does end up being Labour!

I had the same my midwife said that as baby moves down in the pelvis it causes more pain and loosens the bowels!

I’ve had 7 bouts of diarrhoea this morning, irregular contractions which have proper come and gone, constant pressure in my bottom this evening. Hoping little one will soon appear.
Had diarrhoea the night before with my 2nd child x

Thanks I’m so nervous all of a sudden. I feel so unprepared as I’m 4 weeks away from term yet, so a little nervous at the thought he could ever come earlier. may I ask how far along you are now?

I had diarrhea the night before I gave birth with two of my children. So yes, can absolutely be a sign of labour.

Yes definitely can be a sign that Labour is near, although it can start days or even a couple weeks before!

37 weeks is full term though so could possibly be the start of labour, defo a shock if you had anticipated labour at 40 weeks though!! If it is Labour then you’ve got this, it’s completely natural to feel a bit unprepared but everything will fall into place 🤍 best of luck ❤️

I’m 36+5, just had a very slight bloody show as I was getting ready for bed!
I’m hoping and praying she will come very soon. They shouldn’t stop mine as I’m just over 1 day before term and have gestational diabetes which they want to induce at 39 weeks max anyway. X

I’ve been having all of these symptoms for over a week now. I had my daughter at 36 weeks and I’ve been wondering if anything may happen but still waiting

Thank you all so much for responding. I guess I just have to wait and see. And yes as much as I feel unprepared I’m sure everything will fall into place!

Course it will, best thing is just go with the flow, listen to your body also x

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
