First period after birth

I bled for 26 days with my first period. I had the depo injections 6 weeks pp and got my period 2 weeks later. I didn’t bleed for over 4 weeks after that and just come back on today at 15 weeks pp, but it’s a lot lighter this time round. Mine was heavy the whole 3 weeks I bleed x

I didn’t have a section and I’ve still not had my first period and my little girl is 10 weeks, however I honestly think that it takes a good few months for your body to reset itself. A few people I know said that their first period was heavier than normal and longer, others said it was less heavy and shorter. I honestly think that everybody is different and it just takes a bit of time to get back into a normal routine (as in your body… not you)

I wasn't a c section but my period came about 4 days after starting the pill. I wouldn't say it was heavier but it's only just stopped after nearly 3 weeks. It kind of stopped for a day and then started again.

I didn’t have a c section but I went on the pill at 7 weeks period came back at 8 really light then didn’t come back again until 16 months they are all over the place some short an light others long but she’s 21 months an I’m still breastfeeding after giving birth even if your not breastfeeding it can take a good few months for things to regulate an even with birth control without giving birth can take a couple of months

Going on the pill can make your bleeding longer/irregular

My first was brutal it was 12 days of heavy clotty bleeding

My first was fine (probably lighter than my pre pregnancy periods!), the second was super heavy, I had terrible cramps and it went on forever!

I didn't have a section and never went back on contraception tbf, but my first period kicked in about 8/9weeks and it was the worst I've ever had, it lasted for about 10 days, since then everything evened out (lb is 2 in a couple of weeks)
