Getting pregnant after c section

When did you get pregnant again after a c section? Our plan was always to have 2 under 2 but that is now out the window because I had an emergency section. I know they say 18 months and we will be sticking to it (as much as I don’t want to) but I’m curious how quickly you got pregnant after your section?

I had 18 months between my births, both c sections, so I got pregnant again at 9 months pp

Had an emergency and planned section. Got a 14 month and 10 month age gap. Got pregnant 5/6 months after emergency c section and 2 months after planned c section. They are 2 years, 10 months and newborn. Feel free to message me x

I had 23 months between c sections, got pregnant at 13 months post 1st one and was fortunate and got pregnant t first month of trying x

Planned pregnancy 6 months after emergency c section. 15 months between my two babies, almost 6 weeks in and loving it 🥰 x

I got pregnant 20m post caesarean, first month trying. That what 2.5 years between babies and it was lovely.

I was low risk, no issues or complications, easy birth and recovery.

Induction or elective c section

I’m really torn between going ahead with an induction at 39 weeks or changing my mind and having a planned C-section, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

I’m a first-time mum and originally wanted a planned C-section, mainly because I have a strong family history of very fast labours. After speaking to my consultant, I became more comfortable with trying an induction.

The proposed plan is 39+0, potentially skipping the balloon if my cervix is favourable, having an epidural early, breaking my waters and giving things around 1–2 hours to get going. I’ve been told that if there’s little/no cervical progress, we can discuss a C-section, and that I can change my mind about continuing at any point.

My biggest concern is that I REALLY want to avoid forceps/ventouse. If an assisted delivery was being recommended and there was time to safely do a C-section, I would personally prefer a C-section.

I’m worried about a situation where I reach the point of wanting/needing a C-section, but the unit is very busy and there’s a delay getting to theatre I’ve also just had an 11-hour wait in maternity triage for leaking fluid/reduced movements. I completely understand that women who are seriously unwell have to be prioritised, and I’ve had some lovely experiences with the maternity team, but seeing how stretched the unit was has made me question how accessible that “Plan B” would actually be during an induction.

Don’t judge me pls. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and I don’t know how to feel like I feel nothing.

Now I feel guilty for not feeling bad. But I don’t feel good or bad either. I was excited and baby was planned. But now I just feel nothing. Is this normal

It's looking like I will have a planned c section at 39 weeks, I am terrified! It's such a common procedure but the fact it's major surgery really scares me.
