I’m having a boy and have had some Braxton kicks off and on every so often. They feel like period cramps. When I ask others what their labor pains felt like they seemed to vary depending on what they were having. With my friends who had girls, they said labor felt like sharp shooting stomach pains. With those who had boys, they described it has intense period cramps. Has anyone experienced this? I’m curious so I can prepare myself for the labor pains better.

I’m having a boy and i get Braxton hicks but Braxton hicks don’t hurt it just feels tight and uncomfortable and the period like cramps come from the pelvic area I was told it was because the uterus is expanding and growing getting ready for baby to come out. If the Braxton hicks are closer together then that can be a contraction but if the Braxton hicks are an hour apart then your fine. So the Braxton hicks and the cramps you feel are two different things. I was told the cramps aren’t even close to what contractions feel like.
