Did anyone experience hypertension then pre-eclampsia during their pregnancy?

Thank god I’m over it but just feel really upset and traumatised about what happened to me last year and maybe would help me knowing that I’m not alone

I did! My September baby ended up being an August baby because my blood pressure was too difficult to control. Definitely not alone- I had some birth trauma therapy and it was so helpful.

after you gave birth did your blood pressure return back to normal to date? And did the pre eclampsia resolve

I’m still being treated for hypertension, but I was before getting pregnant. LO had some troubles which led to both us being diagnosed with overactive thyroids- I’ve been told that could have been what led to the high blood pressure/ pre eclampsia. But also been told the thyroid trouble is very rare so still don’t really know what happened.

I’m just so scared and paranoid that my high blood pressure and pre eclampsia might come back for some reason although there shouldn’t be a reason why coz my blood pressure returned back to normal thank god after around 3 weeks of giving birth and I understand that pre eclampsia is related to pregnancy and once you give birth it’s gone..
Coz I suffer from high anxiety I’m always thinking the worse when even though everything seems positive?

Guess I’m just looking for reassurance..

I had it with my eldest, he was a May 2017 baby. I have then go on to have 2 more healthy pregnancies with normal BP and no pre-eclampsia. I did have to take aspirin with babies 2 and 3 but it was worth it.

I completely get the anxiety of it all. I was told by so many people that it is much more common in first pregnancies, and it’s great that your blood pressure returned to normal. Plus if you do decide to have another baby your midwife will be on the look out for any signs and taking aspirin whilst pregnant can help to prevent it too x

unfortunately I have decided that I won’t be having anymore children which does break my heart as I always wanted a big family but the trauma I went through with pre eclampsia and high blood pressure has left me scard I was in a critical way and I don’t ever want to risk going through that again esp having two small children

I get that 100%, it is so scary going through that especially when you’ve got little ones depending on you xxx

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
