I am in my week40 with 4cm dilation since last one week. No signs of labor. Doctor mentioned they will wait till week 41 to induce me if labor doesn’t start naturally. I feel uncomfortable as it’s too close to week41 and a little worried for my baby girl as she is running out of space in there.
Anyone in same situation and any thoughts?

You have until 42 weeks before any risk of complications so 41 weeks is good! I’m personally waiting until 41 weeks and 3 days for induction.

If you and baby are healthy, there is no reason you can't hold off until 42. At least you are dilated.
I'm not sure if I'm dilated, but was 20% effaced as of at least 3 weeks ago. I am holding off on induction until 42 weeks, currently 40.5 with an appointment tomorrow. NSTs have been good. I'm scared to even get a cervical check for fear they'll induce with a sweep.

I’m in a similar boat. 40 weeks tomorrow and trying to decide if I want to get an induction or not after my first attempt at induction last week was unsuccessful. Such hard choices

Why don’t they just pull the membrane, that would push you into labor with out being induced

Same here! Just had a cervical check and I’m 4cm dilated. It’s 40w 1d today. They will schedule an induction for 41w, but hopefully the labor will start naturally before that
