You don't HAVE to do anything! If your not close to 42 weeks I'd ask for a nst and if that came back ok I'd wait. But saying that, I've had to be induced and at 37, 39 and 41 weeks and baby tolerated pitcocin well. If they do use it, ask for the minimal amount to start with and then ask for them to stop it once your labor is established!

36+4 but I’ve been trying to ask questions and say I don’t want this or whatever and they keep pushing me and using scare tactics and I just want to cry.

If I’m contracting currently, but not super dilated, will he handle pitocin okay?? I mean they’re doing it for contraction stress test but I’ve been contracting for all day now and he’s been fine. I don’t want pitocin once I’m in active labor. I just need 3 more cm and idk how to get there🥺🥺

At not even 37 weeks I would not allow the pitocin especially if he's handling your contractions well! I know your probably miserable (I'm actually the exact same! Due the 29th!) But your not even full term until 37 weeks!

And they will use scare tactics alot for their convenience!!!

Maybe ask for a membrane sweep only to see if you'll start stronger contractions on your own.

i def don’t want membrane sweep! I don’t even want to be induced but they won’t let me leave the hospital!! They said I’m not leaving til I have him and I have to be induced or c section

I'm so sorry!!! Idk how they can keep you against your will! Especially if your both not in danger! 😞 I don't think there is a way to dilate more without a induction if your body just isn't ready.
