LO Bedtime

Is my LO the only one who goes to bed at 9/10pm?

Most posts I see people are saying their LO goes to bed between 7/8pm.

He wakes up 7:30/8:30AM and he has wake windows of 1.5 hours.

Tell me I am not the only one whose LO goes down later.

I would love an earlier bedtime as I get no time to myself because as soon as he is down at 9/10pm I am not far behind him going to bed.

He will only contact nap in the day so I am desperate for some me time.

He is 18 weeks.

Mine doesn’t, it’s anything from 9.30 to 11.30 and same as yours with contact naps and even those are only 20 ish minutes if he naps at all. He’s up between 5 and 6am x

Mine is the same! If I try to get her to sleep at 7/8 she treats it like a nap and is up after 40 mins for another 1.5hr! Wakes up at 7am too

Nope, usually 10:30 here. I do typically stay up till 1 (for myself to shit scroll).. lol. We contact nap also.

My LG goes down between 9-10 most nights and usually sleeps through to about 7.30-8. She naps a bit in the day but I’m just grateful for a full nights sleep every night.

Mine goes down at 7.30 but not through me trying for it, it's just the routine she got herself in, her last bottle normally falls around 7pm, I understand your frustration as when she goes to sleep I have about 2hrs to watch TV before I feel tired but if she was going to sleep at 9 or 10 I would be right behind her

My girl is the same. She's 16 weeks and no matter what time I try to get her to sleep she doesn't sleep until 10/11😂😭
She only contact naps in the day as well and even then its few and far between. So hard to get her to sleep atm.

@Tanya Hope you don't mind me asking, what time do you get up with your LO. I'm still going to bed very early. I'm so worried I won't get enough sleep to alert and ready for my LO. I would love to stay up a bit after she has gone to sleep, I'm just building up my confidence I think (and battling anxiety)

In the morning? 11am. My LB typically wakes at 7, goes back to sleep till 10:30/11 so I go back to sleep too. I do this regardless of time I go to sleep. Today is an anomaly as my OH is snoring in my ear (night shift) so I can’t sleep but I’ll have an afternoon nap with babe :). I find that if I wake up/get out of bed earlier then I clock watch the rest of the day.

Don’t rush if you don’t feel ready :) x

Mine between 9&10 and she usually sleeps through until 6.30 but has been waking around 4 recently. Goes back down after a quick feed though x

Well, I could have written this post myself… my little girl is just coming up 18 weeks and we only contact nap during the day because she won’t go down elsewhere (been this way since 2 weeks old - we’ve tried so many times) and has sake windows of around 1.5 hours, we start bedtime routine around 8pm for her to be in bed and settling to sleep between 9/9:30pm.

Sometimes I’ve even fallen asleep whilst waiting for her to nod off 🤣

How long is everyone’s baby napping for when contact napping out of interest?

Avatar

our contact naps are usually 30 minutes but can be up to an hour and he has on average, 5 naps a day.

Avatar

Thanks everyone, I'm glad to know it isn't just us 🙈 I hope we will get there eventually 🤞

My baby (14 weeks) is exactly the same. Wake windows 1.5 hours, bedtime between 9pm-10pm, wakes for the day between 7am-8am. This was the norm before this sleep regression.

I really hope he naturally wants to go to bed earlier as he gets older x

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
