Nap times are becoming so difficult as my 7 month old is constantly rolling! I'm having to resort to the pram each time and even then he hates it to start with. He's started to roll during the night but not just onto his front and done, he's constantly rolling back to front to back, lifting his head, thrashing it into the side of the next to me. We've never used sleeping bags, we tuck him in securely with a blanket but now he's kicking out of it every time. I'm at a loss - what can I do???

For us is army crawling at the minute. He's back to waking up every few hours at night to practice. He's only slept OK for 2 weeks in the past 7 months, so used to the deprivation. I don't think there is anything to do just ride it out. Try and give him as much floor time as possible so that he can roll during the day and hopefully he'll be more tired and sleep a bit better. It does make a teensy bit of a difference with Hugo.

My girl does cartwheels as soon as she’s put down in her cot. We can’t do naps as she just wouldn’t go to sleep. We have to use the swing or pram too. Sorry, don’t have any suggestions just came to say you’re not alone. Hopefully it’s just a phase and it’ll pass

We use sleeping bags and settle the baby where he is with rubbing and patting. I find picking up or repositioning just wound him up and we would have to repeat the process for ages.

I hope it passes soon. I read that when babies are moving in the night then a blanket is no longer safe for them so might be worth considering a sleeping bag. Do you think he might need more room? Our daughter didn’t start to move until she had all the space in her own cot but she rolls and remains asleep as she’s got space? Just a thought? These babies love to keep us on our toes 😂

I've thought about switching to sleeping bags so I'll have a look, thanks 😊

I did think is it worth trying him in the big cot in his own room but I tried the other day for a nap and he was too fascinated staring at everything (he is into every little thing at the minute so even the wallpaper and ceiling are exciting to him 😂😩) I may try again tonight, thanks!

glad to know it's not just me, hoping it'll pass soon for us both 🤞😩

Yep, ours is waking in the night because he can’t roll back/fidgeting etc. Just constant 🙄

My LG hates sleeping bags and sleeps in just a vest or sleepsuit
She also thrashes around the cot and does headstands and all sorts but eventually she goes to sleep if I just leave her (for her naps)
Bedtimes a different story 🤦♀️ she does the same but then cries and we have to keep going back up to try and settle her
