How have you managed to navigate the 4 month sleep regression and can it start as early as 3 and a half months or 15 weeks? My baby used to sleep from 8:30-4 now is up every hour and a half.

My lo started the 4 month sleep regression at 13 weeks and it was so so tough! We ended up working with a sleep consultant to improve things after 16 weeks of hourly wakes

Just try to feed to put back to sleep & rock the baby

The wonder weeks app shows this "leap" as potentially starting as early as 14.5 weeks, lasting a month or so. Which includes sleep issues. So yep, I'm sorry to say that it's likely,! Sending you strength š

My LB started his at 3m š« the worst was waking every 45minutes, the best would give us a chunk of 5 hours and then 2/3 hrs.
3 nights ago, we had a break through, with one wake-up at 3:30am, then back to sleep until 6:30am.
Now my LB is unwell with a cold, and we are now back to several wakes throughout the nightš«

My little boy has hit his early, from 12+5 weeks the difference in his overnight sleep was immediate. Heās usually waking every 45 mins-hour.
We are āpracticingā putting him down awake but drowsy for daytime naps so he learns to settle himself to sleep, as my understanding is thatās what the sleep regression is about, when they develop circadian rhythm and wake after each sleep cycle when they come back into light sleep and donāt know how to restart the next cycle independently. It doesnāt always work, if he wonāt settle on his own after 2 attempts I will revert back to his preferred rocking, patting and shushing to sleep, but it gives them changes to learn the new skill they need to resolve the regression. Fingers crossed, he is showing some signs of improvement in the night, and we have a couple of occasions where heās woken and begun to fuss but I can just āshhā a few times without getting up and heās resettled himself and slept for about 3 hours then.
Good luck! Itās a killer!

Mine started right at 16 weeks. Granted she went from waking 3 hrs from the start ofnher last feed to waking every hour so it wasn't that big of a change for us. We used the Taking Cara Babies 4 month sleep resource and it worked for us in 3 nights. Shes never really had a regression since just some bad nights every once in awhile. Happy to share it!
So Iāve never breastfeed I donāt even know what itās like.
My child was in formula since day one of birthā¦
A few of my relatives have said that women who breastfeed have a smell on themā¦
Is that like a milk smell that they have?

If you are going to be rude or insensitive to others, donāt comment on this post.
if you gave birth via caesarean, would it bother you if someone asked if you gave birth ānaturally or by caesareanā (nothing to do with whether you were medicated).
When I gave birth I always answered āvaginallyā to others and they seemed uncomfortable 𤣠there was nothing natural about that shit show lmao

Hi, not expecting a diagnosis obviously but maybe just some opinions and or advice. I have a nearly 4 month old. Iāve been to my doctor re my mental health and they have told me to do a self referral for some talk therapy but it looks like it could take a few months. Iām really struggling but I donāt know if itās a normal amount as a new first time mum or something more. I feel very low a lot of the time, crying most days but not every day, feeling isolated (no mum friends), feeling like Iām not enjoying being a mum as much as I hoped, missing my old life and freedom, struggling with patience and the constant crying and fussing, feeling like itās Groundhog Day, jealous of my husbands life, feeling like Iām not doing a good enough job, worrying Iām not doing things well enough and it will negatively affect her, only feeling better when I have people with me who know about kids and can step in and help eg in laws etc. I have tried hard to work on being positive, I get out for multiple walks every day, Iāve joined a sensory class, Iām on this app but I feel like none of it is really working or doing much. I feel like Iām ticking boxes of things that should help but Iām not making any mum friends and honestly a lot of the time it feels like Iām masking. Sometimes I get so upset and cry and I canāt really explain whyā¦.

Is it okay to let my 23 month old roam while I shower?
The house is baby proofed.

After lots of research, shop visits and trying different options, weāve narrowed it down to the Joolz Aer², Silver Cross Nia and Bugaboo Butterfly.
Weāre looking for one lightweight pushchair that is sturdy enough for everyday use, easy to carry as we live somewhere with no lift, and practical for travel too. Weād really prefer not to buy multiple pushchairs for different purposes, so ideally we want something that can work from newborn through to later toddler years.
We have tried all 3 and I feel in terms of sturdiness, Bugaboo would be the most sturdy, followed by Nia and then Joolz Aer2. Aesthetically and colour wise, I do prefer the Nia design.
Has anyone used any of these as their main everyday pushchair from birth? Would love to hear your experience and recommendations.

Hi, I am going to be a first time mum in December, at the moment we have a double bed in the spare room (which is going to be the nursery) my initial plan was to sell the bed, do people think this is a good idea.
Or during the night do you think itās good to have in case baby wonāt settle, and I can sleep in the spare room with him.
Preferably I would want to sleep in the same bed as my partner so hopefully wonāt need it.
I just wondered what other people did?
