Pushchair Advice

After lots of research, shop visits and trying different options, we’ve narrowed it down to the Joolz Aer², Silver Cross Nia and Bugaboo Butterfly.

We’re looking for one lightweight pushchair that is sturdy enough for everyday use, easy to carry as we live somewhere with no lift, and practical for travel too. We’d really prefer not to buy multiple pushchairs for different purposes, so ideally we want something that can work from newborn through to later toddler years.

We have tried all 3 and I feel in terms of sturdiness, Bugaboo would be the most sturdy, followed by Nia and then Joolz Aer2. Aesthetically and colour wise, I do prefer the Nia design.

Has anyone used any of these as their main everyday pushchair from birth? Would love to hear your experience and recommendations.

We had a bugaboo chameleon from birth and I absolutely loved it. It was so easy to manoeuvre and very sturdy. It is however quite big and takes up quite a lot of room in the car so we ended up switching to a travel buggy when she was about 10 months but if we had a bigger car I absolutely would've carried on using it

I’ve had pretty much every travel stroller at some point. We now have 2 of the icandy pip strollers, which are my favourite. The joolz was my least favourite! The bugaboo Butterfly 2 is great. The egg stroller is much sturdier than all of the others, although not quite as compact so isn’t cabin approved but far better for everyday use.

We have ickle bubba one and it’s honestly amazing, it’s so lightweight and easy to fold it when needed

The Bugaboo butterfly is great i bought it for travelling on train and plane but I use it everyday and the pram i bought from birth was so big and bulky and was awkward getting in and out of my flat. The Bugaboo has literally changed my life lol 😆

Gripe Water

Has anyone else dealt with this? My 7-week-old struggles every night to pass gas, grunting and kicking for hours starting at 2:00 AM. It's making sleep impossible for both of us! Has anyone tried gripe water,or other remedies, and did you actually see results? Would love to hear what worked for you. We do have Infacol but cannot really see improvement.

Own room

When did you move your baby into their own room. My LO is 5 and a half months old and I have a cold currently and I'm just constantly waking her up in the night . Is it okay to move her separately

Do breastfeeding women “smell”

So I’ve never breastfeed I don’t even know what it’s like.

My child was in formula since day one of birth…
A few of my relatives have said that women who breastfeed have a smell on them…
Is that like a milk smell that they have?

Postpartum has been amazing this time around!

My daughter I was first time mom and didn't know what to expect. This time around with my son EVERYTHING was easy. He's such a good baby. I'm definitely more experienced and stronger minded this time around. I'm also on mental health medication this time AND IT BEEN LIFE CHANGING. It almost feels weird to be this calm and relaxed postpartum….
