Gripe Water

Has anyone else dealt with this? My 7-week-old struggles every night to pass gas, grunting and kicking for hours starting at 2:00 AM. It's making sleep impossible for both of us! Has anyone tried gripe water,or other remedies, and did you actually see results? Would love to hear what worked for you. We do have Infacol but cannot really see improvement.

Gripe water is the best, along with baby massage x

We used gripe water, honestly saved us both. He was a different baby after it!

We have been using gripe water for a month and a half now and its the best thing. Tried Infacol before but it did nothing for the baby.

We’re in the same boat! Does it help them pass the gas or just ease their discomfort? Either way we’re going to start to try it 🤞

we’re in the same situation wanting to start gripe water because infacol doesn’t seem to have helped

My boy lived on gripe water to get through the early hours of wind. Gave him when he seemed to have gas and did massages and bicycle legs to help relieve it. Also started giving 10 mins before his last feed and he stopped waking in the night as his tummy wasn't giving him trouble xx

Look up farmyard hours, you can use gripe etc but it’s also quite normal as their digestive system kicks in for the day x

We've used gripe water but not that brand, its super helpful for the gas or colic.

Yep gripe water was well worth it

Gripe water works brilliantly for my baby. I use Mary Ruth's. Wish I'd started using it sooner

I tried infacol didn’t work gripe water did work but they recommend infacol (midwife’s) also try less feed burp and feed again so breaks in between

Thank you all for your insights! I’m really hopeful now that this will help us even slightly. Will go buy so we can start today 🫶🤞

We tried infacol, didn't see much difference then started nurse Harvey's gripe water which seems to help and baby seems to like the taste which helps

gripe water was a lifesaver for us! Worked wonders and baby loved the taste too😂 infacol also seemed to help but gripe water was definitely better imo!

People with 2 or more children!

What ages did your children share a room? I have a 2.5 year old who sleeps through the night no issues, and a 7 month old who currently still wakes at least once in the night and has a bottle, we have a 2 bed house so they will be sharing a room and some point but just wondering what ages people moved their youngest in with other kids !

Period return- combi-feeding

I’m 8.5 weeks pp and my period has just come back. I am combi-feeding (50% breastmilk and 50% formula). Does this timeline seem normal? I don’t know why I was expecting longer before it came back 😭

Cold sore and baby is two weeks old

I have a tingling on my lip and I’m thinking it’s the start of a cold sore as has been the case in the past. Has anyone had this before?? How did you protect your baby from exposure? I don’t know how best to protect him. I’ve obviously stopped kissing him, but I was kissing him today before I felt this tingle. I’m worried about spreading this to him and exposure he may have already had. Is it overboard to contact the GP?

I’ll be getting patches tomorrow but want to make sure I’m doing everything I can, so if anyone has any suggestions thanks in advance!

I feel so guilty and awful that I may have exposed him. It’s second nature to kiss him now so I’m struggling a little and I’m worried I’ll slip up. I’m so angry I have to worry about this. Thanks to my grandma when I was young, I was exposed and now I have to deal with this. To those mummas saying no to people kissing their babies, keep saying no you’re doing what’s best for them!

Own room

When did you move your baby into their own room. My LO is 5 and a half months old and I have a cold currently and I'm just constantly waking her up in the night . Is it okay to move her separately

What does pelvic floor therapy involve ?

I’m not sure if I need to shave or if I’m peeing on myself a little.
