Latent phase/ prodromal labour?

I'm 40 + 1 today too and had a sweep yesterday but she couldn't get through the back of my cervix to ruffle around ☹️

awh, my midwife said she could only do it partly as baby’s head is very very low and she couldn’t get through - super painful it was 🫣

Awww bless you!! My cervix has come down but still not ready enough to get right through waaah. I left feeling a bit deflated

I’m having this at 38+1! Was having tightenings from 8:30am yesterday and they ramped up to what felt like real contractions at 6pm ish, 3-4 mins apart for a min at a time , Freya app said I was established labour for over two hours, took paracetamol at advice of triage and tried to sleep and it’s pretty much gone now. Feel like I went through all that all day for nothing!

Same happened to me, sweep on Monday and Wednesday. Feel like things are starting to get going and then nothing. Midwife said I’m in slow latent labour as I’ve gone from 1cm to 2cm in a couple days, but it’s so deflating to stop and start again. I’ve started again about an hour or 2 ago but I’m not getting my hopes up again, I’m 4 days overdue now xx
