Waters broke no contractions

Has anyone else had it where waters have broken but no contractions? Waters broke on their own yesterday at 3pm and they sent me home from hospital last night at like 11pm but no proper contractions just dull period type aches every hour or so, should I be worried?

I had this for me the full period type aches are contractions but not 100% sure! I would call triage back up and explain that you’re worried as they said to me if I’m not contracting then they will induce me the next day

Don't worry just keep a wee eye out for any signs of infection like a temperature, they usually want to get you in after about 24 hours if nothings happening but it's still always your choice. Try and relax as much as possible, close the curtains get cosy etc and see if things ramp up xx

@Ellie yeah they said to come back today about 3pm as they need to check me over and possibly put me on a drip to help contractions come on xx

I had this with my first. My waters broke at 7am, period type pain at 12pm and contractions started at 2pm. I would have been induced at 7 am the next day had just not have started naturally x

I had this, my waters broke at 36 +4 & had no pains or contractions. I went to the hospital and I was 4cms dilated x

How are you doing? Did you have to be induced? Hope you’re ok xx

@Ellie I'm okay just up hospital they needed to apply jell to see if will help me dilate but can take 6 hrs till they check and then put me on a drip just uncomfortable like pressure and stinging

Hey beaut how long did it all take for your contractions to start currently in the same situation only thing is its my back waters that have gone nit front ones

Avatar

@Nisha mine were my back waters they said to come into hospital after 24hrs and then examined me and broke my front when 2cm then contractions soon followed only managed to get to 3cm before I asked for epidural and then contractions slowed but baby was panicked so ended up having emergency c section under general

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
