I have an ECV booked for Saturday, I am so nervous and freaked out about it. Any positive stories would be helpful! 🙋🏽♀️

I was exactly the same, I've had 2 totally different experiences but my second experience I would do it again if I could! Baby was really stubborn and didn't move but honestly it's definitely Worth a try! Any questions you have just fire away xx

Hi, I had a successful ECV last week at 37 weeks 🙂 It was definitely a strange experience, but I would do it again. Baby had her feet right down in my pelvis, but the consultant managed to get her out and turn her cephalic. Again, if you have any questions, just ask x

how many times do they try move them in that one ECV before they say it’s unsuccessful? Thank you x

I got told 3 times. Anymore than that and I think baby would possibly become unhappy x

@Megan they tried three times, each time monitoring baby with a doppler and a scan😊xx

I had successful ecv last Friday and I’m now 37+4. My baby was feet down prior so I tried everything to move baby before ecv and used the ball every night and the hot and cold method for breech babies which is on Google and I believed it helped as when I went to my appointment my baby was then transverse. The ecv itself wasn’t too bad just like a deep tissue massage but I luckily only had to have the baby half turned due to it being transverse. The thing I didn’t enjoy was the injection which goes into your arm and relaxes the muscles as I reacted from it and almost passed out but the midwife was so good with me and said it’s quite rare and doesn’t happen to everyone so I’d advise eating sugary foods and drinks before hand and also the more active the baby is the better it is when they try moving it. I would 100% recommend it to anyone and do it again even though I reacted to the injection as it gives you a good chance of a natural birth xxx

My ECV is on Friday morning 🫣 I will update how it goes xx

Thank you everyone ☺️x

how was it? Xx

Unfortunately it didn’t work as baby’s bottom was lodged in my pelvis so already engaged (as the head would be). I didn’t have the relaxant as I have an irregular heart beat and the nurse said I didn’t really need it and it wouldn’t have made a difference. It was uncomfortable but not painful I just closed my eyes and focused, it doesn’t last long. You’ll be absolutely fine 😊 I’d try it again if she wasn’t in this position. Sure it’s nothing compared to birth and labour lol now just prepping myself for C-section. Hope it goes well today! Xx

I had mine today and just like yours his bum was lodged in my pelvis and wouldn’t budge ! So I’m going to be having a c section too xx
