For momma with multiple children

Did all your babies weight around the same at birth? My first born was 5lb 6oz at 38w5d. I’m curious if I should anticipate this baby being tiny too

That's actually not THAT tiny. A full term 40 week baby at 7lbs is average, if you went another 9 days, its very possible you would have been at like 6.5lbs. But from what I can tell, baby size has more to do with how big you and dad were at birth and any complications. For example, my sister in law had 3 large babies because she had gest diabetes with all of them. The second was born like 4 or 6 weeks early and was still nearly 7lbs, if he'd gone full term he'd have been massive. The 3rd was over 10 lbs and got stuck coming out. They had to break his arm to squeeze him through because it was too late for a csection.

My husband and I were both large babies, I was 9.5 and he was nearly 10 lbs both born right about 40 weeks. Our daughter was 37 weeks as I was induced for preeclampsia and she was 7lbs 2 oz. On track to be about an 8.5-9 lb baby easily if she went to full term. My friend who her and hubs were large babies also had a large baby.

It's more genetics than anything. So yes.

I was nearly 8lbs and my husband was almost 9. We were completely caught of guard by a little one. They want to do growth scans in the 3rd trimester this time

My mom (with the exception of a premature delivery), MIL, and two SIL’s have had slightly larger babies with each pregnancy. I only have one who was 6lbs 1oz at birth and I’m having twins so I expect them to be smaller!

Mine varied slightly at 7.1, 6.1, 6.7, and 7.9. They were all born after 39 weeks.

Yes, my first was 8.9 second 7.7 and third was 8.12

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
