I'm 13 days post partum, and my section scar is bumpy and raised however this is my second section. My first was the same but healed flat against the skin. Im still a bit numb aswell. You can massage the skin around your section (not sure how long you need to wait though 🤔) to help with healing!

ahh thank you, I’m 4 weeks tomorrow, and half seems flatter and the other feels more raised like I have a wire there as it’s like a line, my stitches were old school and individual ones that were removed so wasn’t even the new line stitching, I’m still numb in area but also hurts at the same time

I am 5 weeks pp, the scar is flat to my skin but half of it feels hard and lumpy underneath and is more tender.

I'm 2 weeks pp and my 1st ever section. My scar is very sore, although healing lovely and flat, my stomach is still numb still quite swollen someone asked me if I was still pregnant even when I was pushing my baby's pram. That upset me quite a bit. Gave me a complexion then typical bloke think he was trying to be funny but I fact was quite insulting. Bearing in mind I was absolutely huge during pregnancy xx

Still raised and lumpy for me! Although not a lot. Just underneath it is quite tender/stingy still but just above it is still all numb.

ahh that’s good, I’m sorry someone said that to you, don’t let them make you upset you just had a baby, you’re doing amazing and let your body take time, took 9 months to grow x

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

Reduced movements

26 weeks and haven’t really felt little baby all day, she’s usually super active & I have a posterior placenta so I feel her all the time usually. I did feel her ever so briefly earlier right down into my pelvis. I was at maternity triage the other night with tummy cramps but everything was fine and so was baby. What should I do? I don’t want to feel like a nuisance?
