Keep talking to him. Maybe make him ask for a word before giving it to him. Like “juice please” or “up please.” Even at first if he tried the word we would do our darndest to try and get what he was saying. It also could be something he grows out of but I would start with “do you need water? Can you say water please?”

Read more books. My son's interest amped up a few weeks ago, and it's been like 1 or 2 new words a day since we've been reading more. Getting clearer as well, I think he kinda had some words he just was struggling to get out clearly. Oh, and games where words or phrases are repeated. He got saying "up high" really clearly having me throw a ball up in the air, and once I got smart and started saying down low, he started to say down. My boy is stubborn. If I want him to say something or ask him to, he absolutely will not. It has to be on his terms when he's ready.

Do you read every night to him? I would put him in early intervention it will only help him in the long run. Do it soon i waited until the deadline with my son but he benefited from the 3 months he was in the program

I would start early intervention right away to get the most of it. There's nothing wrong with getting speech therapy. I'm so grateful my parents did for me. I needed 6 years. No lisp or anything now

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
