So I’m booked in for an induction next week, all I hear are negative stories about inductions . Does anyone have any positive birth stories from induction? Thank you xx

Following as my induction booked for tomorrow and getting nervous

I got induced last Thursday night at 35+5 because of her heart rate when on the CTG after my waters started leaking on Wednesday. When they took me over to labour ward and checked me, I was already 1cm dilated, so they broke my waters and put me on the drip to get my contractions going. This was at 11:45pm. I only had gas and air and diamorphine while being in labour, slept for a bit of it too. They then checked me at 6am and I was 4cm dilated. Checked again at 8am and I was fully dilated by that point. Started feeling the urge to push maybe about 9:45am and she was born at 10:12am 🥰. I only had a very small tear which didn’t require any stitches. She came out weighing 6lb 11oz as well, so not as if she was tiny for being that gestation as well. If you’ve any questions about it, feel free to ask 🥰xx

Thank you and congrats on your baby girl! This has made me feel a lot better 👌😩xx Hope your doing well Mumma xx

I was induced with my first, I had the pessary put in about 3.30pm I was having lower back pain around 8.30pm started contracting around 1am and I was 5cm 8.30am and my little one arrived at 10.05am
I had paracetamol and codiene overnight then gas and air from 8.30 onwards. My waters didn’t break until her head had been born, my midwife was very good as she knew I wanted as little intervention as possible.
I very positive induction 😁 good luck xx

This is perfect ! This is exactly what I want 💖😩 Thank you for sharing 💖xx

I had a very positive experience with my induction and birth!! I did need forceps in the end but that was because baby’s heart rate was too high while I was pushing her out, but I didn’t have to go into theatre for the forceps because her head was SO far down from me pushing
I was induced using the gel after my waters broke at 36+6. My contractions started within 10 mins of the gel being inserted and I was left to labour for 6 hours, and was then given the hormone drip to help my contractions along a bit faster (worth noting I had the drip along with an epidural when I was 7cm dilated, as I was told that the drip makes contractions even more painful!) the relief from epidural was like euphoria by the way, highly recommend haha
My baby was born 13.5 hours after my induction started, so it was a very fast process! I loved my birth experience and would be happy to have induction again next time if I need it 😊

Honestly as traumatic as it was at the time
It was just very very uncomfortable and I had no idea what was coming next
I loved my nurses for both the laboring and the resting part
I loved that they made sure I didn’t end up getting a c section by waiting to pop me at the right time which was about 6cm
