I'm thinking ahead to a 4D scan. I've been going to ultrasound direct so far for any private ones and I always see the same sonographer who also works for the nhs which is reassuring.
I'm just wondering if I should choose the option that includes growth measurements or not. Its more expensive to do so. But that aside I'm wondering if seeing the measurements would cause anxiety as I've seen sometimes growth scans can be off. So if he shows small or big or anything at all to question I will get myself anxious over it. But should I do it in case a problem is detected that wouldn't have been otherwise? Perhaps it's selfish of me to go just to get 4d pics and not check his measurements.

I’ve literally been wondering the exact same, could have literally written this, been to ultrasound direct for early and gender scan and saw the same sonographer. I think I’d probably quite like to have both as baby was misbehaving during 20 week scan and I’m not confident they checked everything as thoroughly as they’d liked (kept saying there were limitations in what they saw), yet didn’t book me in for another.

@Aimee I wasn't told there were limitations although the 2nd foot she was like I just need to see if it's flat and her view was terrible. So I wonder too especially since I was done in 10-15 mins it was so fast. I had a doctor do mine due to family history of heart issues so maybe she was just more on an expert at going fast and maybe he was just in a good position. I do recall her saying he was a bit bunched/curled up when commenting on trying to look at spine but she was just saying everything is fine and that was that. I have been wondering is it though?

hmm mine was the opposite, she tried for about 25mins then made me go for a walk and get something sugary then went back and it was another 20mins of her humming and saying baby is stubborn etc and I just didn’t feel reassured whatsoever.
