Membrane Sweep!! Lost my mucus plug!!

I lost my mucus plug yesterday after doing one Monday🤞🏾

Ugh so lucky, I haven’t had any cramps or anything really. I got my sweep done yesterday afternoon so barely coming up on 24 hours. Hopefully something happens soon 🫶🏽 also 38 weeks 3 days

I’m getting a sweep done 9/15 if she doesn’t come earlier. Due date is 9/16.

why did they give you a sweep and not me?? lol. Did you request it at your 38 week appt?

I’m not sure!! My dr walked in and asked how I was doing and I said I’m readyyyy and she said do you want me to see if I can stir things up? And I said YES PLEASE! I have always told her I want to go natural I don’t want to be induced so idk if that had an effect or not!

UPDATE: I just lost my mucus plug at 6:20pm🤩

how does a membrane sweeep feel like?

it definitely hurt!! But the pain only last a few minutes!

I was also still only at a 1 so it was tough for her to get through!

like afterwards or during? idk I got a cervix check but im not sure if my doctor did it without telling me?

it felt like he was stretching me out but idk

so it definitely felt different than a check! Instead of checking how opened your cervix is they push through your cervix! And wipe around in a literal sweeping motion for a minute or two so it lasted longer! She actually reached his head and felt that my sac was intact!

I think they did that to me too 😭
