Sweep question!

I had my first sweep yesterday and as soon as she did it I had my “bloody show” seems to have subsided this afternoon so just waiting around for something, anything 😂

The baby is moving alot and last night had a big wave of what felt like a contraction. Went to bed. Woke up and just been on the couch allll day due to the heat.

My sister in law had a sweep and had my newphew the next day within 24 hours so we’ll see

Have another sweep booked on Monday. Just want her to come naturally as I want a water birth but an induction which is booked for Wednesday might throw a spanner in the works 😅

ah I hope it does all start soon for you!! I was induced last time so praying for natural too this time round 🤞🏼 xx

2nd pregnancy-
I had my first sweep at 38’weeks and it was classes as a success but unfortunately it didn’t do anything for me. I had a bloody show and I was so excited thinking it had worked.

I had a second sweep at 39’weeks with a different midwife that was unfortunately classed as not successful.
That was on Monday and I’m now on the ward being induced as unfortunately I have now been diagnosed with preeclampsia xx

ah sorry they didn’t work! Thank you for sharing, especially about the bloody show! Would rather try to not get hopes up thinking it’s worked when it hasn’t!! Hope all goes okay with the induction 🤞🏼🤞🏼 xx

I actually found both sweeps okay; not to uncomfortable xx

I had a sweep yesterday first baby and my waters broke last night, currently in hopsital waiting to see as my contractions won't regulate xx

ah that’s exciting though! Did you feel any thing up until your waters broke? X

some tightness in my back and groin but that was about it! I got up to make a raspberry tea and they went x

ah okay! I haven’t felt anything yet so feel like it’s not worked 😅 xx

did they say anything when you had it done? I was told I was a cm and cervix was right down and head fully engaged xx

she said she felt baby’s head, 1cm dialated, cervix really soft but high but still able to reach etc x

yeah other than the high cervix! Although she said that’s not really a problem. Just would have thought I’d at least have some twinges! X
