Sleep training/ frequent night wakings

Tried sleep training my 6 month old recently and it was all in vain. He basically wakes up every 3-4 hours for suckling and sleeping. Anyone else going through this. Some nights he wakes up hourly. Driving me nuts. He started solids 2 weeks ago and is eating well. So he isn't really hungry. Tried the ferber technique but he cries so much.

I tried sleep training as well. My daughter wants nursing no matter what. She just stands up in the crib and wont stop crying if i dont pick her up and feed. I have tried even rocking her back to sleep but its a fight i cant win. Like Jessica i just co sleep now so that i get some sleep. The feeding is like evry 2-3 hours. Its not hunger. She eats solids thrice in a day

Check out The Happy Sleeper book. The key to any of these is to be consistent

Hi!
I’m an infant sleep consultant and I help parents with sleep training successfully. Ferber method doesn’t work for some babies as the consistency of not returning at the same time frustrates them more.

You also want to ensure they’re tired enough at bedtime before starting and I work with my clients to just focus on independent sleep before looking at routine or naps.

On my website I have a free guide that gives you their 24hr sleep needs and I don’t go by awake windows for this reason.

I'm just gonna throw this out there since it surprised us... so our son would have these random screams, 5x a night. But one day when we got evacuated from our house due to a wildfire. The room he was staying in was completely dark.

No issues, I kept wondering why. Turns out, his baby monitor light on top of his crib was the problem. We turned it off, then BOOM! He's been out 730p til sometimes 730-8am ☺️

You never know what the issue is.. it could be something just as simple. (Think outside the box)

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
