Early induction

Try not to worry, if there was a real cause for concern they would have told you and as you said they would have induced you sooner if they were worried. I had to be induced 3 weeks before my due date and gave birth at 37 weeks and my baby girl is perfectly healthy and happy. Best of luck to you 😊 not long until you meet your baby!

Iv had exactly the same thing, induction booked for next Saturday, but growth scan yesterday shows she’s not growing that much anymore! No one seems worried except me! Been told it’s fine to keep my induction date the same 🥲xx

Also just noticed you’re also from Bedford, me too! The midwives at Bedford hospital were fantastic with me and I had a really positive birth there!

If it was a real worry they would induce you before or even put you in for an emergency c section. I’m sure your LO is fine! ☺️ xx

@Jasmyn it's actually the scariest thing ever 😭 I assume their fine tho as they would've got us in sooner if they weren't, I cant believe I'm going to have a baby next week tho😭🤣x

My friend got induced on the same day as her appointment with the consultant as they were worried about the baby - her baby was perfectly fine
If they was concerned they’d have admitted you straight away or brought your induction forward =)

I'm also being induced tomorrow! At 38 weeks as baby has not been growing as much as they expected him too 😬 i had one consultant who was not bothered about the lack of gain and another who was more concerned than me not feeling baby move as much, its frustrating how different they can be. The day before soon hits you that you'll be holding your baby real soon! Good luck ladies X

are you really? 😂 so do we have to turn up at 20:00? Or is that just the time there inducing us? I know! I’m the same. Then we are allowed to go home but have to come and 6 hours later if it doesn’t work xx

@Demi-Louise yep🤣 I'm not even sure! I'm going in on Saturday for a stretch and sweep so I'm going to ask then as I'm sure the lady said it was supposed to be 8am🤣😅 so we have to go back at 2am if it doesn't work?🥱😅 how am I going to get up for that 🤣xx

I’ve not been asked for a sweep so thinking this induction won’t be successful! I know! I’ve got strep B so not sure if they will let me home as soon as my waters break I need to be on antiobiotics to help the baby and so it doesn’t get it passed onto him/her xx

@Demi-Louise oh really?! That's odd! They wanted to get me in for a sweep before doing the induction to try and bring it on naturally, I've had more cramps and lost my mucus plug since the sweep but nothing else really, hopefully it will be successful for you tho :( it's deffo at 8pm I asked them Saturday, oh bless you, maybe you won't be allowed home then :( hopefully it all goes okay for you🫶 if I see you there then we can chat more lol xx
