I heard this was super unsafe. If you were in a bad accident you'd probably break your hips or the belt could cut into the femoral artery and kill you.

Yeah this does not look safe at all. I was told by my ob to keep the seat belt underneath my belly

that's what I've been told by multiple doctors and there was a test to show the damage definitely not safe

I looked into them, but like the ladies above, what I found is that they are absolutely not recommended. In addition to the risk of serious leg fractures and/or damage to the femoral artery (which can cause you to bleed out super fast), there have also been problems with the seatbelt hooks snapping off in an accident - then there’s no telling where the seatbelt ends up.

I’ve heard insurance will not cover an accident if modifications were made to your seatbelt for pregnancy..

Such a great idea and it was really nice not to have pressure on belly. But safety first!
