1-2cm dilated at sweep!

Hello, had a sweep today (40+1) and been told I’m 1-2cm dilated already!
Felt really elated and excited it could happen anytime. Been told contractions must have started but not gone into labour yet.
Has anyone had similar and if so how long did things take to progress to active labour!?

I had first sweep at 38 weeks was 1-2 cm had another two since then last one I was 2cm cervix soft this was Monday had nothing I’m 39 weeks +4 . You can be dilated for weeks and nothing happen :(

I was 1cm on Monday and 2cm Wednesday. And only false labour signs since the first sweep on Monday (had 2nd Wednesday) Really had my hopes up since Monday because I had cramps and tightening that was a bit painful. Been really on and off since. Midwife said I’m in latent labour, which can take ages. It’s really disheartening. I’m still now waiting for things to actually get going. I’m 40+4

I was 1cm at my first sweep at 39 weeks, ended up being induced at just under 42 weeks!

It can take a few hours or it could take weeks. You can be walking around a few cm dilated for ages. Just keep doing what you're doing!

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
