My baby girl just turned 5 months. We haven’t had any sleep issues until 4 days ago. We have solid nap and bedtime routines and I’ve seen her connect sleep cycles. She’s not the best napper (short naps) but her night sleep has always been good. The past 4 days she protests every nap but only briefly before sleeping. They are short naps though. Bedtime has been terrible. We recently switched to 3 naps a day but I watch wake windows and assist with lengthening some naps to prevent being overtired. She’s been fussy as well during the day and getting bored easily. She goes to bed with a little fussing but wakes up 30 minutes later and basically screams off and on until 11pm. Even after this, she’s not sleeping well. It’s been so bad that I’ve had to bring her to bed with me in order to get some sleep. I have to hug and kiss her, holding her tight in order for her to calm down. She flat out refuses any soothing from my husband and even screams and arches away with me for a while. Has anyone experienced this? Is it just a phase? I know bringing her to bed with me could form a habit but I tried letting her scream a few evenings and she got so worked up after only 15 minutes that she puked. I don’t want to use CIO and hope there is another way. Help! She’s possibly teething but gave a dose of Tylenol last night just to see and there wasn’t a difference. I want my happy baby back!

So you could be going through a late sleep regression, and you don't have to sleep train using the CIO method, there are lots of different ones! I chose the pick up put down method and it worked very fast!
