Unsettled feeding

My LO is 5 weeks old and is exclusively formula fed. It’s been a few days where she cries so much and squirms when I am trying to feed her. I am struggling to finish her feeds and it takes an hour or more. She has also been spitting up quite a bit. Is this normal or should I be concerned and speak to a doctor? First time mum here so don’t really know what to do.

It’s likely reflux disease, my LO had that. Symptoms are taking long to eat, arching back/ squirming and spitting up a lot. Check with your pediatrician, our girl went on basically a baby dose of Pepcid (heart burn/ acid reflux medication) and was on it twice daily for 2 months, now she has no problems. 😊

It's reflux most likely. How's her poop?

Her poop is normal, slightly on the diarrhea side but nothing too bad.

Thank you mamas. I’ve spoken with the GP and he advised to give smaller feeds more often for now and see how she gets on. He also mentioned the warning signs to keep an eye out for (dehydration, rashes, floppy baby, fever, projectile vomit etc.) just hoping my baby girl feels better soon. X

if it's regularly diarrhea it could be a sign of an allergy

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism
