Hi lovely, I noticed a few weeks ago my little girl would just fall asleep lying on her play mat so when I noticed she was getting tired, I would put her dummy in and put her in her moses basket, turn the brown noise on and walk out and 9 times out of 10 she falls asleep on her own.
I also lie her on her side with a rolled up blanket behind her because she seems to prefer to sleep on her side. X
how long would you leave her to then check?? i was just trying with my little one but it had been 5 minites and i started feeling guilty that he was alone in a dark room 😂

I have a baby monitor so I watch her on there but most of the time she's so tired by the time I put her in there that she falls asleep straight away. Xx

My little girl started this around 12 weeks. I’m currently looking at my sleeping 16 week old on her playmat as she’s put herself for a nap 😂 xx
😂 love that, so normally he goes to sleep in my arma and about after 20 mins i can put him down and he stays asleep for about 40ish mins!
so today i trried just putting him down and it did not work!it is now 12 and hes not napped, he is over tired now and i feel guilty 😂
but i guess it is just about consistancy!
if anyone has any tips do let me know aha

Not necessarily self soothe but it was suggested to me that if they fall asleep on you to then lower them down onto the sofa/cot etc but keep one hand on them for a few minutes so they can still feel you until they’re in a deep sleep ☺️
