So my waters broke 2 hrs ago and I'm going to fetal assessment unit. My contractions haven't started yet. Is this normal? Bit worried. I feel nauseous and baby has moved a bit but not as much as usual. The waters keep leaking out of me! I have kept every pad just in case. I've had no other symptoms. Just need some reassurance. Like I said I'm going into the hospital now anyway but wondered if anyone had any words of wisdom x

My waters leaked at 11am contractions didn’t kick in until about 6! Didn’t go into hospital h til 11pm, they’re coming 🤩

I've had waters go during the night and contractions not start til 1pm next day x

With my 1st waters went at 9am, contractions started about 3 hours later hun x

Congratulations!! I am insanely jealous but I'm also very happy for you 😂😂 here's hoping the contractions start soon and not long until you meet your LO!!! ❤️

First baby, waters broke 12am, contractions started between 2 and 3am he was born 1236am the next day.
My September baby, waters broke 2am, contractions started to niggle 12am the following night, they had me booked in for induction at 2am, which they gave the pessary at 420am as I was still not regular, not dilating and the strength wasn't there with the contractions. He was then born at 826am!
Just for you to know, to be prepared, if your waters are broken for longer than 24 hours, you and baby will need 24hrs observation after birth so will require an overnight stay.
We got home yesterday 💙
Good luck! X

With my 1st my waters went 7:30pm but I didn’t start having contractions until 8am next morning

Thanks everyone. This is my 2nd baby but first natural labour as I had an elective section with my first so my body has never laboured. I am considered high risk because of this and am hoping for VBAC I have only had little niggles and twinges so far x

With my first, my contractions didn’t start until about 30 hours after my waters went!

That’s great! Don’t worry. As long as they’re happy your waters are normal, they’ll probably send you home to labour there for a while x
