I’ve been booked for an induction on Tuesday. I understand the process and what will happen, I’m just totally anxious about the prospect of potentially staying in for several days before anything happens. The thought of not being at home is really worrying me. My midwife is coming to my house tomorrow to do a sweep to try and get things moving.
I’m just struggling to control my anxiety now. Trying to tell myself it means I’m one step closer to having my baby but it’s hard.

I’m booked in tomorrow for induction, from what my midwife told me I might be sent home to wait for labour to start and then go back after 24hrs. Not sure then what happens after the 24hrs tbh so hopefully if you want to be at home and nothing has started you will be able to go home to wait
oh really? I’ve been told I have to stay in from the time I’m induced. I will ask my midwife tomorrow!
Hope all goes well for you

It depends what method they use, if you get the balloon you can go home. Take as many home comforts as you can, pillows blankets etc, things to do/watch, games etc 😊 try and do all the things that help you stay relaxed as well, you want the natural oxytocin to keep up as well xx

I had a pessary induction with my 1st and was sent home until my waters went. Definitely made me feel much more at ease, I think they’re happy to do this if you’re considered low risk. Probably depends on your hospital as well

I was given the leaflet for the pessery induction but not 100% that’s what I’m having. Will see tomorrow afternoon
