Up until now, breastfeeding has been going well. My girl was averaging 10-20 minutes on each breast per feed. For the past week, as soon as we get to the 6-7 minute mark she becomes incredibly fussy, bobbing her head and crying. She’ll then only really latch on for 10 seconds at a time before fussing again and getting too worked up to carry on. At this point, I’ll move her to the other breast and after 6-7 minutes the same thing happens! I don’t think it’s because the supply has stopped by that point as I hand express a little bit to check and there’s plenty of milk! Anyone know what this could be? She seems so frustrated.

I’m no expert but sometimes babies do this to increase supply. Might be that she’s going through a growth spurt? X

Mine also does this if there is a poo on the way or he’s tired. He will give hunger cues when he’s really tired but just wants the comfort. If it happens I generally just try rocking him off to sleep and it’s usually he’s just ready to go to sleep xxx
