20 weeks, cramping, growing pain?

Hey there I am 20 weeks pregnant. I had my 20 week anatomy scan yesterday and everything turned out to be just fine since yesterday I’ve been experiencing light muscle soreness . The doctor did say it was normal, but I didn’t expect it to be painful. Today I woke up with sharp pain on my left side as soon as I got up from bed. Sitting for extended time at my desk, I started to feel the sore like feeling again in my lower abdominal side. Whenever I stand up from a seated area, step on my left leg, I feel a muscle spasm. In Another post I read that it could be growing pains or round ligament pain, they seem to be 7/8 weeks further along than me. so I’m not sure if this could be related. when I lay down on my left side, I don’t feel it at all. It’s mainly when I sit up or get out of bed. Anyone else experience this what have you tried to do?

I’m 20 weeks and this week I’ve started experiencing random shooting pains in random areas of my lower abdomen. I notice that it can be when I get into my car, pick up something heavy, stand up, etc.

That sounds like it could be round ligament pain (which can occur at anytime in pregnancy, not just late pregnancy) but it can't hurt to call your provider if you're worried or in a lot of pain.

Same. I believe it is round ligament pain.. oh well 😅

Omg me too!!! I’m 22 weeks now and these past 2-3 days I’ve been feeling it ALOT. Before it was on and off. But now… when I get up to walk or to go down the stairs I feel it on my left butt. Nowhere else. Not my lower back, not my legs. Just my left butt. It’s kinda like what you describe too. Like a sharp deep pain in the left butt.

Hi! I’m also 20 weeks and experiencing similar sensations for the past week or two. My doctor said it was round ligament pain and not to worry as long as it passes fairly quickly. She said to look up some stretches that might help

How many kids do you plan to have maximum?

I’m only asking this as several years ago, back in the 1970s - 1990s, people would have several kids compared to now
I’m born in 1994 and I remember lots of people I grew up with had loads of siblings and my cousins from both my parents sides would have eight kids in them

I don’t want to go in the process of having another baby and restarting everything. The sleepless nights, screaming, baby falling ill and everything was too much for me.

In this generation, some people are sticking to one child only or having two or three kids at maximum

How to tell my 8 year old

I have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant (early so I have a while). I am wanting ideas on how to tell my 8 year old son. I want to pay privately for a scan around 10 weeks (not sure if to take him to this, then he can physically see). I am worried that I am going to slip up, I really just want to tell him, but I know I need to wait a bit longer or at least until I know all is ok. PLEASE can I have your ideas and timing of when to tell him? Thank you 🫠✨️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Scared and disappointed !

I always wanted a vaginal delivery and doctor was very positive about my progress. I’m currently 2 cm dilated and doctor has asked me to get induced due to blood flow issue to baby. I hope induction will succeed. She said if baby gets stressed, we have to get into emergency c section. And I’m so scared about it. Any Positive c section recovery would help me. :(
