For me, I was nauseous and sick the entire pregnancy. The only thing that slightly took the nausea away was anti sickness, making sure I nibbled on a cracker before I got out of bed and lots of ice lollies.
Hopefully yours will start easing around soon 🤞🏽

Preggy pops and a zofran prescription!

For my first pregnancy, preggy pops worked great. For my second, I needed a prescription - i ended up in the hospital due to dehydration because EVERYTHING made me nauseous

Crackers and ginger ale and also ondasetron 4mg I had that for my pregnancy it was prescribed

Peppermint tea (first trimester) and gum for the longest time. The sad thing though is sometimes I have an issue with chewing gum postpartum because I gag on it now 😅

Peppermint tea, sparkling water and mints/gum 😅 also ate as soon as I got out of bed even if I didn’t have an appetite

Ginger tea was my go to taste awful but it worked. Or ginger candies. Smoothies went down easier over solid food in the morning

Rich tea biscuits were a staple in every bag I had from 6 weeks onwards

I had HG, and I had to get zofran and promethazine to control it. One of the biggest factors that made it worse was acid reflux, so I started pepcid complete everyday and that helped as well

Eat some saltine crackers n also peppermint tea

Thank you all so much!!!! I actually have peppermint tea I’ll try that today. I had such bad heartburn yesterday i ended up throwing up a little twice but after the second time I felt so much better! Even antacids didn’t help it. Only throwing up did.

Sea bands helps a lot to ease the nausea. It is two elastic bands with plastic ball that press on your wrist. That thing was helpful

How many kids do you plan to have maximum?

I’m only asking this as several years ago, back in the 1970s - 1990s, people would have several kids compared to now
I’m born in 1994 and I remember lots of people I grew up with had loads of siblings and my cousins from both my parents sides would have eight kids in them

I don’t want to go in the process of having another baby and restarting everything. The sleepless nights, screaming, baby falling ill and everything was too much for me.

In this generation, some people are sticking to one child only or having two or three kids at maximum

How to tell my 8 year old

I have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant (early so I have a while). I am wanting ideas on how to tell my 8 year old son. I want to pay privately for a scan around 10 weeks (not sure if to take him to this, then he can physically see). I am worried that I am going to slip up, I really just want to tell him, but I know I need to wait a bit longer or at least until I know all is ok. PLEASE can I have your ideas and timing of when to tell him? Thank you 🫠✨️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Rolling over

Has anyone’s babies started rolling over or showing signs that they are going too? my baby is coming up to 3 months old and isn’t really showing any signs yet except when he’s on his back, he kinda pushing his body up with his legs occasionally but I think that’s just accidental when he’s happy. My friends baby started rolling from front to back before she was 3 months old and I know we shouldn’t compare because all babies are different but it’s so hard not too as a first time mum, I’m worried that I’m doing something wrong.. is it normal not to be there yet or is he abit behind?

Dramatic home birth

Born at home 14th April at 6:02pm. Shoulder dystocia so midwives had to really use their expertise and help her out, then thought they might need to resuscitate so sadly no delayed cord clamping 😢 and of course ambulances called just in case. Even an air ambulance turned up although not needed. There was so many first responders in my house and most didn’t need to do anything but I appreciate all the extra precaution. All the neighbours were on doorsteps wondering what was going on, so wasn’t the calm home birth I planned but it’s a very dramatic story to tell her when she’s older. We’re both doing fine and after observations she’s totally well. I feel like I’ve been through a few wars physically but I’m sure it will all sort itself out eventually. Full of gratitude to all the people involved I our care. Trying to think of the best way to send a massive thanks to everyone, can you send pizza to an MLU? For anyone still waiting, all the best of luck, try your best to use the time while waiting to do things that become very difficult once you have a newborn. Which is basically anything 🤣 each day now I have one goal, something like ‘take a shower’ and it’s an achievement if I manage it!

1st birthday presents

As much as I am trying to pretend it is not imminent and the thought of it makes me want to cry. What is everyone buying for their babies 1st birthdays? I could do with some ideas! So far my son mostly has books but would like to buy some toys too. Was hoping to get him a Jellycat but they seem to be sold out all the time online☹️
