So I’ve been experiencing the worst discomfort, to the point it feels like my vag wants to rip open… the pressure is crazy. When I walk, I’m just waddling like a penguin and I can’t bend. It seems to hurt when I turn positions in bed, or any movement that involves me spreading my legs slightly I.e getting out of the car. Is this normal? I keep thinking I’m dilating or ready to push because of the pressure 😂I’m 35 weeks pregnant.

ugh i feel you on this !! and the TIGHNESS in my hips and ribs make me want to off myself 😂😂 i promise it’s normal girly — the joys of being in the third trimester

Hey! Waddling and discomfort is really common, but what you’re describing sounds really intense… where is the pain most intense? Is it constant? I’m a midwife by the way!

Have you done your antenatal classes yet? We’ve got a free drop in for pregnant women in Hove, if you’d be interested in meeting other mums to be! X

Im 31 weeks, not even that big and im beginning to feel like this

It’s the hormones you get in pregnancy - they soften all your support systems. Really important to get your pelvic floor working!

Ive had this from 16 weeks, im now nearly 25 weeks, got a little bit easier since I started physio, but finding i have to have a balance of how much im on my feet during the day and how much im sitting down.

Could it be pelvic girdle pain? Try getting in and out of the car/bed with knees together, using arms and feet to maneuver instead of your mid section.

Sounds like pelvic girdle pain / pubic symphysis dysfunction. Mine started at 18/19 weeks, now at 27 weeks I’m on crutches with a pelvic binder if i need to go out the house 😭. There are things you can do to ease it, such as movements to avoid and sleeping with a pillow between legs etc (have a quick google!)
I most likely have to have a c section in a few weeks and I have never felt so nervous in all my life. I struggle sleeping at night and it's all I think about during the day as I am a very anxious person.
I haven't been able to speak to a consultant yet. I wondered if anyone has any words of advice or even words of advice from a consultant they spoke to?

I’m 37 weeks and every single student midwifery I have had , has struggled to find my babies heart beat, added quite a lot of stress by having to constantly leave the room to ask the senior midwives questions or to find baby, even student doctors can’t find baby’s heartbeat.
I’m a high risk pregnancy, need a delivery suite labour and I appreciate they have to learn / tick off so many births etc but I’m just a bit ansy and fed up now , I don’t want the unnecessary stress.
How can I politely decline the student midwifes seeing me in my next midwife appt in the community and for them not to be involved in my birth?

Hi ladies,
So I’m confused.. been to triage yesterday as had some pains, had my urine dipped and it was clear but then when I had my bloods done my results come back and it shows I’ve got 14 crp which means either inflammation or an infection? Has anyone else had this before?? I’m just abit confused.

Has anyone else just lost it and had a bit of a yell at baby when they've been screaming non stop? Feel really bad after having a go but my LO was just non stop behind for no reason at all. So draining, I am finding 5 months harder than any other month so far.

I am in need of a break from this 24/7 mum role. The screaming, crying, constant picking up, constantttt cleaning, washing up, cooking, picking up mess, to-do lists, everyday supermarket runs, admin, energy into trying to get baby to sleep, trying to get him to eat , waste of food, breast feeding, sterilising, mum rage, mental load feel like I just a huge bloody break from all of it !
