For what feels like a month now, our 20 month old daughter every night screams and cries and fights going to bed, she's naturally cut out her nap in the day time which originally we thought would mean she would sleep better at night, she starts getting tired around 7/8pm but trying to settle her to go to bed is a nightmare, she will start to drift off and then she will scream and cry and get in a right state and it takes me ages to get her to sleep. It's getting to a point now where I end up crying cause I'm tired and it's too much and my partner has to be up early for work so we all end up quite stressed out.
I'm at my wits end, why is she fighting to go to sleep when she's clearly tired? Is this a sleep regression? Why does it feel like it's never ending!
Any advice or tips 😩

We went through the exact same thing with my lb, came out of nowhere about the same age! I was a mess some nights as it was so frustrating and I was so tired! Every evening I dreaded and it was just exhausting. Some nights it could take 2 hours and I would be going up to him up to 10 times just putting him back down soothing him and then walking out again. I know it seems like there's no light at the end of the tunnel but there is I promise. We just kept doing the same thing and eventually it passed. He now goes down like a dream, doesn't cry, is actually keen to go to bed and just goes to sleep. I don't think there's any magic answer, it must have just been a phase. You are not alone in this. Just wanted to respond to perhaps give you some hope, hold on in there x
