So I went in for my routine checkup, I was a little past 11 weeks. Everything seemed fine. I was having spotting but I had that with my first pregnancy. I had called and told them about it and the cramping I was having at week 9 but they said it was normal. I had my dating ultrasound the same week and the baby’s heart was fine 140bmp and they were moving all around, lively baby just like my first, it even looked like they were trying to suck their thumb. I never stopped having pregnancy symptoms. I went in today at 10am and she couldn’t find the heartbeat. She did an ultrasound and couldn’t find the flicker or movement. By 12:30pm I was up with an actual ultrasound tech and she couldn’t find movement or the heartbeat either. I was told my baby stopped growing around week 10 I found out I was pregnant at week 8, my dating ultrasound placed me at week 9 and 3 days. My due date was my birthday. I had planned this baby. I don’t even know what treatment I want to do for the miscarriage. She said since I was already spotting it was a sign my body was already starting to recognize the baby had died and that I might be able to pass it naturally. I honestly just want this done and over with quickly but a D&C, I just hate the idea of it. I hate the idea of passing my baby as well. I’m trying so hard to be positive and be in the present with my current baby but it’s hard. I had 9 shots and I still feel like I’m shattering. I just want to curl up and cry and cry. How do you even mourn something that hasn’t even come into the world? I’m glad I have my mother-in-law who’s had miscarriages and she knows what I’m going through and she’s there to comfort me but I’m just so broken right now. I know it’s not my fault but I also think about all the time I spent not knowing I was pregnant and using chemicals like insecticide and I just can’t help but thinking that it’s my fault even though this happens. I wanted this baby so badly, I felt it was a girl, I was excited to get her cute dresses and bows. I was excited my son was going to have a little sibling, possibly a little sister. I had looked at the future with so much excitement but now it feels so empty without this baby.

I’m so so sorry. My daughter passed in the womb at 9w1. We found out she passed at 9w4d. I didn’t deliver her until 13w even. June 11, 2023. My biggest regret is not pulling my pants down slower after my water broke. She fell into the toilet and I wasn’t able to pick her back up, so I don’t even know where her body is. It makes me sick to my stomach each time I think of it. If you choose to deliver naturally, I recommend getting comfortable once the contractions start, and laying your baby to rest. I don’t regret not getting a D&C or taking the pill. I’m glad I got almost a whole extra month with her body. I always miss my baby. I have a 21-month-old and honestly I’m just going through the motions. I hate it. I can’t wait to see her again.

I've had two losses and even though it's slower, I preferred to wait for my body. I did use the pill for one of the losses as I was starting a new job and unfortunately couldn't risk the contractions starting randomly. The medicated process was excruciating.
The moment you knew they were in there, all of your hopes and dreams came for them came along. You'll become stronger take heart

I’m so sorry 💔
I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks. I too had some spotting and was told it was possible my body would eventually miscarry naturally, however my baby had died at 9+ weeks and 3 weeks later to only just be spotting, I didn’t trust my body to do what it needed to, after I felt that it had already let me down. I also didn’t want to carry on living my life just waiting for it to happen. I wanted it over with.
I took the pills, my experience was horrendous and traumatic, I don’t recommend it at all. The pills also didn’t work for me, and I needed surgery as I had retained products.
I had surgery, nearly 3 weeks after my miscarriage first started, and I wish I had just opted for that first. It was over so quickly. For me, it was absolutely the right option. But everyone’s journey will be different.

I’m so sorry. I’ve been in a very similar situation. This was my first pregnancy (we tried for 18 months) and I had a MMC in may at around 11 weeks (baby stopped growing at 7) I was also due on my birthday. I am dreading my birthday rolling around this year. I’ll be 39 and feel time is running out for me. So we have booked to go to New York and spend it there there…a welcome distraction from what the day should have been. It’s been a few months now and I’m still heartbroken and feeling hopeless about potential motherhood. But I have to have hope in my heart that my rainbow will come. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I had a d & c and everything was over very quickly and relatively painlessly if that helps at all x
