So I'm scheduled for an elective induction in about 10 days, but I'm really having 2nd thoughts, I do not want the epidural, and I heard that getting induced is more painful and a lot of people end up getting the epidural even if they didn't want it because the pain was too intense. So my upcoming appointment I was going to ask my doctor is we could try a membrane sweep and see how that goes.
Anyone have a membrane sweep? And how did it go for you?

Just had a membrane sweep this past tuesday and while I do think it has helped to get me to start dialating, no signs of actual labor yet. I'm being induced on the 12th if baby does not make an appearance sooner.

I had mine done august 28 baby was born august 29, labor most of the time in the toilet. I had been induced before but this time it was more bearable than when I was induced. The best decision I made

Just bc you get induced doesn't mean you have to have a epidural! I've been induced w all 6 of mine and didn't have em!

I had a membrane sweep and gave birth that night. But everyone is different
