Weight gain

Hey girls bit of advice. I’ve lost 4kg (8.8lbs) since being pregnant, mainly due to lack of appetite in weeks 6-13, but I’m now almost 16 weeks and haven’t gained anything. Did anyone else have a similar experience? I’ve read that I should have gained 5lbs by now.

Now this isn’t usually something I’d be worried about 😂

I’m thinking loss of muscle could be a reason. I worked out 5 times a week but after being so poorly I couldn’t manage it. X

Hey yes! I didn’t gain anything until 20 weeks roughly then gained 40lbs 🤣. I lost 35 of them in the first 2 weeks after birth without trying weirdly!! X

I lost 2 stone whilst I was pregnant as I was sick all day, everyday! The drs weren’t concerned as baby was growing!
Put it all back on now and more since having him 🙃

I’m 24 weeks and weigh exactly the same now as I did before I found out I was pregnant, I lost half a stone at the beginning I think also due to loss of muscle and appetite, I’m just waiting now for it to start piling on now 😩🤣 xx

I’m 17 weeks and down about 2lb but as someone else mentioned as long as baby is growing you will be fine x

With my first I lost weight and this one I’ve maintained🫣 I think it depends on your body really xx

Not everyone is the same and won’t always fit into the norm. Some people will gain weight, some won’t, it just depends what it normal for your body. Your baby will always take what they need.

I had hyperemesis and couldn't keep anything down until 17 weeks so I lost about a stone , I only went back to my pre pregnancy weight when I got to 34 weeks and then had my baby at 34+2.

Yep I'm 23 weeks today and only back to my pre pregnancy weight. Also those estimates weights for pregnancy are very general and I wouldn't worry about them just survive and eat as healthy as you can.

I had problems gaining weight while I was pregnant and had lost of nausea/vomit. Dr had recommended drinking boost and making sure to take my vitamins to help make sure both the baby’s and me had the good nutrition and gain weight.

I’m 20 weeks and I’ve been fluctuating between a 5/8 lbs loss due to sickness and no appetite initially.

I am loosely tracking my calories now though to try and maintain rather than gain as I am already over weight and my midwife has said it’s fine and it’s not so much important to gain weight but just to be eating enough to give you and baby enough energy and nutrients.

I think it just depends on your starting weight and if it was already low it could potentially be a concern

I didn't gain anything at all until after 20 weeks. 26 now and only just 2lb more than I was at 6 weeks.

I found out I was pregnant around the 4 week mark. I attribute my 3kg weight loss right at the start from cutting out booze. I'm 14weeks now and knly just hit my pre-pregnancy weight now. I have been eating everything in sight but I still feel like my body, especially my face has thinned, everything but my belly 😊

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia
