Swimming

Hey girls, so I have a question, I’m a first time mum and this may sound daft😂
My little boy is 9 weeks old and I want to take him swimming. I was looking on Amazon for a baby float, preferably one he can lay on his stomach. The ones I seen say 3-6 months but the weight is 11-18lbs. He’s currently 12lbs 2oz so I’m wondering can I use that float as he’s above minimum weight but he isn’t quite 3 months old🤷🏾‍♀️
When did everyone take their LO swimming and what floats did yous use?

I took mine at about 4months n I never used a float because the first we were only in the water 10-15mins

I took mine at 10 weeks and didn't use a float and don't intend to

I got to swimming lessons every week at the time capsule with my LO and he loves it! The teacher is so good with them 🥰 she puts them in the big long floats but like a pretzel if that makes sense 😅 signs songs and has watering cans and bright coloured balls! He loves it!
