Wondering if anyone else has developed sciatica from pregnancy and managed to find anything that helps ? I’m only 20 weeks and worried how horrid it is going to get the further along I get.

I’m pretty sure I have sciatica. If I sit down I struggle to get back up because of the pain, it’s almost like my bum and back locks

it would make sense that it’s when the baby moves as it’s not all the time. I will try some glute stretches TY 😌

I have this and I’m 23 weeks - not horrendously painful but still bad every day and very sore/stiff to walk. It was the worst on Thursday, I couldn’t sit or stand and make it feel any better just real pain from my upper right thigh up my bum and lower back on my right side 👎🏼 it’s annoying because I prefer to lie on my right side so I’ve laid on my left side the last few days and it has been much better but other than that I have no help 😞

Mine started first trimester but I've been able to manage it until now. Yoga has helped me a lot. There's some helpful videos on YouTube from physical therapist to use a foam roller to help the pain. Also magnesium and anything to relax your muscles like an Epsom salt bath or cupping.

https://www.healthline.com/health/pregnancy/sciatica-pain-stretches these really helped me. I've been getting sciatica most of my adult life and it definitely seems to be affected by the shoes I'm wearing, how much I've sat down that day and doing some gentle walking and stretching!

I had it from week 6 to week 9! Lots of osteopath appointments helped and haven’t had it since but I’m having 6 weekly osteopath appointments for the rest of my pregnancy to keep it at bay as it was horrendous!
