For me it was about 2/3 weeks. The situation was my boyfriend’s sister who we were living with at the time needed a lift, I was the only one who drives in the household so didn’t really have a choice. I was driving fairly regularly after that. I still had pains and it was hard work using my feet and leg muscles but definitely take it steady! I’d also not do what I did and wait until the doctors recommended😂x

I drove around 2 and a half weeks postpartum, but you have to check with your insurance company to make sure you’re covered. A lot of them don’t cover you till your 6 weeks postpartum. I used a small pillow to cover my scar for protection against the seat belt too. But as long as you feel like you can do an emergency stop, then you’re all good! X

My ex husband wanted to go snowmobiling the day I was leaving the hospital so I drove myself home. So... 2 days roughly. I was also back in college 2 weeks later so I was driving there and back.

jeez, I guess we know why he’s your ex husband! What a tool, how horrible for you

2-3 weeks. I felt amazing and my recovery was definitely an easy one. My midwife told me as long as you can stamp your feet pain free, you can drive. My car insurance said I could drive whenever I wanted.
Didn’t have a 6 week GP check so good job I didn’t wait for one

They recommend waiting a week, I drove at pp day 5. I wore the Frida c section recovery band and it made me feel much better about the seat belt and my incision.

I think my
Husband would prefer I never drive. I learned when I was like 26. (City kid) I’m getting better but it is not an inherent skill set for me. Also he loves to drive and I don’t. It works out well. We’re both WFH so going out is more of a fun activity then a need.

I called up my insurers yesterday and they aren't bothered (Tesco Car Insurance) they said there is no restrictions to me driving post c section. I'm going to wait until at least week 4 though. Currently 2 weeks 4 days pp.x

3 days PP when I had to drive home from the hospital (checked with insurance first) hospital said as long as I didn’t have pain getting in and out of the car and can do an emergency stop then I’m fine
