Knees & feet hurt

Since having my baby 12 weeks ago, my knees and feet hurt so much! They feel weak, when I sit down for a long time and get up or if I’m up for a long time and sit, I feel like an 80 year old it’s so painful! I can only relate it to having a baby as it only started just after! Anyone else?

Me too. My knees are awful. I can’t sit in the same position for too long and going up the stairs is a mission. It is so painful. I am going to book an appointment with the GP about it because it’s still happening for 12 nearly 13 weeks now

really!! It must be something related then. I might have to do the same x

Are you breastfeeding? After pregnancy and during breastfeeding your body has higher level of a hormone that relaxes your joints, so you're more prone to injury.
I've got tendinitis in both my wrists making them extremely painful. On a 14 week waiting list for physio! X

I'm sorry to see you're having the same as me but a little relieved to see I'm not alone!
If I'm sat for too long, my hips down to my feet are stiff and it's so uncomfortable to walk! Not to mention overnight bottle trips - I look like a little old lady!
I'm going to mention it to the GP and see if there's anything I can do to improve my mobility!

Hi I have had the same thing 2 weeks after having my boy. I went to minor injuries and turns out I have torn my meniscus. It's now been 11 weeks and I'm waiting on results of MRI. I've been told I need surgery but online suggests to avoid surgery and instead strengthen with squats ect. I hope you get it resolved!

My feet are so stiff and sore when I get out of bed in the morning. It feels like my joints rather than muscle. I called the gp because I’ve got a bit of numbness in my two big toes (so random). X

My knees are so bad! So glad I’m not alone😭 I thought it’s because when I’m holding/feeding LO I sit down and stand up putting all strain on my knees! The stairs are killing my knees too… how weird

Me too! I thought it was just me so it good to know others are experiencing the same 😬

Yep feel like an old lady but it's because of hormones and BF. Everything's relaxed 😩

Me too! I am sooo stiff when I get up in the morning too. Walking down the stairs is difficult!

So relieved it’s not just me

For me it’s feet and hips! Sometimes I feel like I have been on my feet all day while I was cuddling on the sofa with baby

I was about to make my own post about this and I’m so glad there are other ladies having knee troubles! I had preeclampsia at the end of pregnancy and thought it was linked to that maybe but wasn’t sure if it will get better on its own or from exercise? X

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!
