Hey! So my waters broke at 7am this morning but I still haven’t had any contractions. Has anyone been in a similar situation and declined an induction and then gave birth naturally?? The hospital want to book me in for a induction tomorrow.
I am hoping for a home water birth.
Any advice to help with contractions/labour

Yep! Waters broke at 730am contractions started about 7pm. Bouncing on my ball and keeping active helped kick things off I think x

My waters broke 9am 05.09 they booked me for induction the next morning didn't have any contractions untill 11pm 05.09 I had her at 2.54am 06.09 😅good luck xx

My waters broke last Tuesday and the hospital wanted to book me in for an induction 24 hours later. Majority of people will go into labour spontaneously within 24-48 hours. The risk of infection goes up the longer from waters breaking to labour. I chose to go in for monitoring after 24 hours. Sadly I didn’t start contractions and still needed an induction but was happy I listened to my instincts and gave my body and baby the chance to labour naturally. I found speaking to my community midwife for advice helpful as she knew me and had been part of my pregnancy for so long.

My waters broke yesterday morning. I still don't have contractions. I went to triage today to confirm it was actually the amniotic fluid leaking, and it is.
Now I came to delivery unit for induction, as it's over 24 hrs. We will see how my body will react and how quick my contractions will start. Hopefully very soon after I will be induced. ☺️

My waters broke at 36wks but no contractions started - they said they would let me go to 37wks (staying in hospital) but if I didn’t go naturally by then they would induce me. I naturally went into labour at 36wk 4days ☺️
