Breastfeeding mums question

When breastfeeding your little one. Do you always offer them both sides?
I’ve had one midwife tell me if a feed lasts 15 minutes then 5 minutes later they want more to always return to the same boob to catch the rich milk at the back.
Another midwife told me to always offer the other boob.
Unsure which to follow.

Mine said 15/20 on one boob then if they don’t come off unlatch them change them and switch to the other boob x

I do the same one and pump/express on the other. If baby is still not satisfied I give a couple ounces of expressed milk. That works x

I always just feed from one side and would use the same side if it’s within about 15 mins.

If after that they’re not content then I’d burp and offer the other side x

I've never timed and I follow his lead. Sometimes he just wants a snack. Sometimes he falls asleep but when I move him he starts rooting again so I offer him the other one.

If it's less than 15 mins i repeat that boob on the next feed. I only do one boob per feed and try and keep boobs as close to even as possible i use tracking apps to see how long Phoebe spends on each boob. As long as it's roughly the same i don't see a problem no use in disturbing a feed to move her to the other side unnecessarily.

I try to go back to the same side to get the good stuff at the bottom, mine only feeds for 10/20 mins which isn’t enough so I always pump the same one after. Sometimes I’ll do 3 lots of the same side if he is cluster feeding.

I tend to give both boobs a squeeze and go for whichever feels fuller

I had the same conflicting advice with my first child which I found confusing and frustrating. This time around I'm much more relaxed about it all and don't even bother paying attention to which breast or timing how long. Generally though I'm offering both breasts, switching when baby decides to have a little break. If she wants more after both sides I go back to the first one. Plus i dont like feeling lopsided, but that's just personal preference. It's still early days so there's not set pattern for us yet. But she's gaining weight at an amazing rate so that's the main thing x

I alternate each boob per feed

I was told put bak on same boob to get the fattier milk, which is different to what I was told with my first.
I’m offering same side then if he comes off again and seems he needs more then offering the other?

One side per feed but I use a Hakka suction on type pump to collect my let downs on the other side overnight. She’s dropping feeds overnight and it helps ease the fullness as one side could go 8-9 hours in between feeds now.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism
