Hi lovelies! My 7 week old (where has that time gone!!) thrashes around in her next to me a lot in the night, sometimes she makes little cries and I’m never sure whether to give her a quick feed or whether to leave her until she has a bigger cry. Any tips? Also I think it may be caused by wind, so any tips to help with that much appreciated too 🙌🏻

My little one does this and it's usually just active sleeping. I only pick him up when he is properly awake 👍.

I have the exact same thing with my 7 week old. And an on going challenge with my partner telling me to pick him up cos he either needs feeding or winding when I know he doesn’t need either

I’ve found popping a hand on his chest works well. If he’s just in active sleep a couple times of doing that and he chills back out and goes to a calmer sleep, if anything’s actually disturbing him and he’s on his way of waking up I’ll keep trying the hand on chest until he does and then grab him if he genuinely wakes up and looks upset
For wind we either lie him on his tum on our arms and gently wiggle his hips, pop him tummy down on my chest with me on a slight angle and make sure his knees are tucked up to pop some pressure on his belly to help get it moving. Sit him upright in our arms facing out and give his bum a good wiggle or I’ll sit down and bend my knees up, put him on them facing me and do lots of wiggling and bicycle legs and rubbing his tummy clockwise with a little bit of pressure and it usually gets it all moving nicely

My LB thrashes around sometimes and doesn't look comfortable. It was really bothering me as wasn't sure what to do. I was told about this video:
