Midwifes

I phoned up straight away and the midwife said even though my clear blue said 2-3 I am actually 5-6! I’m waiting on a call back in a couple of weeks but I’m so impatient I just want to see a scan!😂🥹x

I’m 5 weeks and 4 days and I only just filled in the form to refer myself. I got an email to say the midwife will contact me before 10 weeks to arrange the first appointment. As long as you do it before 10 weeks they should be in touch

I called when I was just under 4 weeks. They were confused as I wouldn’t have even missed a period yet so I just explained I tested early (surely can’t be the only one!) and got my appointment booked in for 10 weeks

@Colby ahhh amazing congratulations!! I had an appointment with the midwifes before at around 6ish weeks (I had irregular periods so wasnt sure how far i actually was) and then miscarried a few days after so wondered if to wait another week or 2!

I found out at 4 weeks to.. knew there was something going on haha

@Jessica I'll probably self refer in the next 2 weeks, I just don't want to jinx it😬 as silly as that sounds! We're going to book as early scan at 8 weeks just to make sure everything is OK! X

I found out a 4+4 and referred myself today as I'm now 5 weeks just waiting to hear back from the midwife to get booked in for a scan as I've got other health stuff going on so just want to make sure it's a viable pregnancy as miscarried this time and same weeks 4 years ago x

I keep seeing people saying about self referring? What does this mean? X

@Daisy I called my GP in my previous pregnancy and they gave me the number/email for the midwifes and I had to self refer. I think it's different for different areas!

I'm 5+2 at the moment I phoned my midwife centre at 4 weeks so I was in their system and they phoned and said I'd have an appointment on or before 10 weeks x

I self referred right away, at like 4+2. I’m 5 weeks now and still haven’t heard nothing! I thought I’d would be better to do it asap so I could get an appointment sooner haha x

@Olivia it took my area around 2/3 weeks to get back to me last time so hang in there! X

@Carine how far along were you when you found out? I'm only 4+1 so was thinking of waiting until 5. I had a miscarriage in June so didn't know if to just wait a little longer this time! X

I’d phone asap! Best do it sooner so you aren’t waiting longer for an appointment, you can always cancel if anything happens 🥰

with my first I only had to ring GP and midwife rang back the next day! It’s only all just gone online for my county, so think it’ll take a while! X

I'll maybe do it tomorrow then! I'll only be 4+2 but fingers crossed this is a sticky baby🤞🏻🌈

I self referred as soon as I found out at 4+1! Today I’m 4+4 and got my first appointment through. I’ll be 8+4 at my first appointment x
